Rottapharm R&D activities have recently expanded in the personal care segment, where the company is market leader with several high-quality dermatology products, the Babygella products, and in the intimate hygiene sector with the Saugella line that took advantage of the company expertise in gynecology. In the latter, Rottapharm has developed a medicinal-quality line of nutraceuticals under the brand Estromineral, for the natural management of menopause and related disorders. Medicinal–quality nutraceuticals have been developed also for the control of dyslipidemia, the Armolipid line, that parallel with other cardiovascular prescription products such as the innovative nitrate matrix patch Epinitril.
